Turkey tail is one of the most heavily studied medicinal mushrooms. It’s medicinal use is found throughout history and it’s earliest recorded use dates back to 200 B.C. in the Han Dynasty. Turkey tail is found around the world in deciduous woods, growing in clusters on fallen hardwood trees and stumps.
This mushroom is thin and leathery while not typically eaten it can be used in broths and teas. Most often is dried and taken in a decoction, tincture or capsule form. The cap forms concentric rings varying in colors of black, blue, brown, green, red, and yellow.
It is rich in antioxidants, and has been shown to promote immune cell function, a prebiotic, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and complimentary medicine alongside cancer treatment.

Suggested Use
Can be taken on its own under your tongue or diluted in water, however many find that its bitter taste is better suited mixed with an herbal tea or juice.
